Hard Work with No Worry

Confusion and doubt circle us daily. We have a choice to make almost every minute it can seem. How do you navigate the sea of decisions facing you? Do you constantly feel like you are worrying about the outcome of something you have done? Do you second-guess yourself and fail to find peace of mind?
The key to this conundrum is, who is your audience?
If you are constantly trying to please others, your boss, your employees, your clients, and your colleagues, you will always be tempted to take a shortcut to their happiness.
In today’s world, getting ahead can seem impossible without being a little bit dishonest or giving less than your best in some areas. Don’t give in. Though the road is hard, stay the course.
It is possible to put in hard work with no worry.
You only need to please one, God. If you are always giving your best and letting go of the worry of who will like it and what people will say, you will get ahead.
Do your best. This means research, work hard, put in the time, go back and proofread your work, make the extra phone call, write the thank you card, have another meeting, and anything you need to do to ensure you have truly given your best effort.
Once you have given your best effort… STOP!
Don’t worry about the result. Don’t second-guess yourself. If, at the end of the day, project, meeting, or presentation, you can truly say you prepared and performed your very best with no shortcuts or excuses, God will take care of the rest.
When you have a relationship with God and you make sure He is pleased with you, fruit from your efforts will follow. The greatest part, there is less stress and worry. You have done all you can and have put your faith in the outcome in God’s hands, this will mean you won’t fail. He won’t fail you when you trust in Him and give Him your best.
Give God your best and let Him do the rest!
Beautifully written, great reminder
This is so good. The one simple thing I tend to forget time and time again, is to "play to an audience of One". Thank you for helping me see that God is always on my side.
